Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Drivegram collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the Drivegram app and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you use Drivegram, including:
- Account information, such as your email address and authentication details.
- Vehicle information, including car details, specifications, financing, insurance, and maintenance records.
- Content you upload, such as photos, receipts, and documents associated with your vehicles or logs.
- Diagnostic information, such as crash reports, error details, app version, operating system, and device information used to troubleshoot and improve the app.
- Support or account-deletion requests you send to us.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Drivegram service.
- Authenticate your account and keep your data associated with the correct user.
- Store, sync, and display your vehicle records, uploads, and history across supported devices.
- Read the details from a receipt you choose to scan, using an AI provider, so the app can automatically fill in your fuel log. This is an optional feature you initiate.
- Detect, investigate, and fix crashes, errors, and reliability issues.
- Respond to support requests and account-related issues.
- Protect the security and integrity of the service.
3. Storage and Service Providers
Drivegram uses Supabase to support account authentication, database storage, and file storage for uploaded content such as photos and receipts. When you use Drivegram, your information may be processed and stored by these service providers on our behalf.
Drivegram may also use service providers for product analytics and crash or error diagnostics, such as PostHog and Sentry. These providers help us understand app usage, diagnose crashes and errors, and improve app reliability. We do not use this diagnostic information for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Drivegram offers an optional receipt scanning feature. If you choose to scan a receipt, the receipt image you select is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to read the fuel purchase details it contains (such as total cost, gallons, date, fuel grade, and station) and return them so the app can fill in your log for you. A receipt image may contain other information, such as a partial payment-card number, so we send it only when you initiate a scan — receipts you attach without scanning are not sent to Anthropic. Anthropic processes the image under its commercial API terms to provide this feature and does not use it to train its models, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Authentication Providers
If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the account information necessary to authenticate you and create or link your Drivegram account.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers that operate the app infrastructure on our behalf.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your Drivegram account using the in-app account deletion flow, we will delete your account data and associated stored content, subject to technical processing time and any legal retention obligations.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
Drivegram is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International Use
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, depending on where our service providers operate their infrastructure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this page and update the effective date above.
